Prof. Aslı Taşbaşı
Professor Aslı Taşbaşı is a faculty member and the Head of the Department of Economics at Işık University. She received her PhD in economics from Marmara University and completed her doctoral thesis research at Lund University’s Department of Economics, Sweden, with a TÜBİTAK Scholarship.
Professor Taşbaşı has been working in the field of environmental and natural resources economics for over 15 years and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in this area. Her work in environmental economics has been recognized with a UNESCO scholarship, and she has published articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals, edited international books, and authored book chapters addressing issues related to renewable energy, water access, clean water and sanitation, climate justice and sustainable foreign trade.
Having spoken at various academic meetings on the economic dimensions of the climate crisis, Professor Taşbaşı is also the moderator of the Green Economy Seminars organized by SES Lab and the editor of the lab’s publications.
