Assist. Prof. İrem Yalkı
Assist. Prof. İrem Yalkı is a member of the faculty at İstanbul Okan University and is vice-dean at Faculty of Business Administration and Management Sciences since 2019. Yalkı completed her Ph. D. studies in Economics at İstanbul University. Yalkı got her Bachelor’s degree from İstanbul University Department of Econometrics and completed her M.A. studies in operations research at Marmara University Department of Econometrics.
Yalkı gives undergraduate and graduate level lectures in economics, international trade, decision-making and sustainability. Yalkı conducts research in the areas of sustainable development, energy economics and environmental economics and on the relation between digitalization and these areas. Yalkı also conducts research on panel data econometrics and optimization methods.
Having given seminars on climate change and especially European Green New Deal oriented toward both academics (at various universities) and various industries, and having participated in projects on university-industry collaboration, Yalkı conducts academic research at SESLAB.
